Yep, my friend Goldlocks let me take some photos of her band. I'll post more later but I had to get this photo up. Let me know what you think. You should have seen the construction workers taking photos with their phones.
Hootie and the Blowfish
Last Monday I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Hootie and the Blowfish. I have been doing more and more music industry related work lately and I'd like to thank Ebie, Susan and my very talented assistant Goldy for making all of this possible. I'd also like to thank Darius, Mark, Soni and Dean.
I'll post some images when everything gets approved.
I guess I feel like writing today. I never really use this blog for that kind of thing. This last weekend was just a whirlwind. We were up at 4am on Sunday catching a flight to Charleston. When we arrived I was already dead tired. We went out and scouted locations for the shoot on Monday. I think we found some cool places but would have loved to have had a day to get some ideas together.
Monday came around and the shoot was very fun. On the way to the airport Goldy and I stopped to take some photos of Soni. Of course you are not supposed to take photographs anywhere near an airport these days and the police were called. The officer was a super nice guy and could obviously tell that we were not sending surveillance to a foreign entity. I actually think we got some good shots. I'll be curious to see what Goldy came up with. She has a great eye.
Then it was off to Nashville, just like that I was back home in bed with the flu again. Go figure. I think this year has to be the most annoying ever for these random spells of sickness. It is never bad enough to make me really want to stay in bed but just enough to make the days long and tiring. I am looking forward to some great weather this weekend.
Peace, Chuck
